Services
The Veterinary and Rehabilitation Center offers the best of preventive health care. Our primary goal is to prevent or detect health issues before they adversely affect the quality of lives of our patients. Wellness care is the cornerstone of preventive medicine. Wellness care includes: physical exams (once or twice a year), routine blood work, fecal tests for internal parasites and preventive vaccinations. A cat or dog may age as much as 7 years in 1 of our "human" years. We routinely see puppies and kittens for 3 visits at approximately 2, 3 and 4 months old. After their first year of life, annual wellness care appointments are recommended for healthy animals. As dogs or cats enter their golden years (approximately 8 years and older), we recommend biannual wellness care appointments (equivalent to you seeing your doctor once every 3 1/2 years).
